Ink and Toner Cartridges

Should you purchase ink or toner cartridges from JD Micros you will be provided with the option to purchase either original (manufactured by the printer manufacturer) or compatible cartridges. Unless otherwise stated at the time of sale, all cartridges supplied by JD Micros (both original and compatible) will be new and unused. Using compatible cartridges will not usually invalidate the warranty of your printer (it is your responsibility to ensure this) however should your printer become faulty whilst using a compatible printer, the manufacturer may request that you purchase and install original cartridges before they carry out a repair. Should this happen, JD Micros will not cover the cost of purchasing original cartridges. Should it be suggested that compatible cartridges supplied by JD Micros have caused damage to a printer despite being used correctly then JD Micros reserves the right to have the printer independently examined. Should an independent examination reveal that the damage is not due to the compatible cartridge then JD Micros reserves the right to recover the cost of the examination.

Domain Names and Web Services Including Web Hosting and Forwarding and Managed Hosting Packages

Unless otherwise agreed and stated in writing, domain names and all web services including web hosting and forwarding are automatically renewed 45 days before their expiry date. Should you decide that you do not wish to renew your domain name or hosting service you must inform JD Micros of this decision in writing. This notification MUST be made by post (an email request will not suffice). It is your responsibility to ensure that this notification reaches JD Micros at least 60 days prior to the renewal date. Under no circumstances will JD Micros be accountable should a notification become lost in the post or sent to the wrong address. Our full contact details can be found on our contact page.

Should a cancellation request be received during the term of a contract without a change of ownership of a domain name, JD Micros reserves the right to transfer the ownership of that domain to JD Micros. Should payment not be received for a domain name that has been automatically renewed, JD micros reserves the right transfer the ownership of that domain to JD Micros. Should JD Micros take ownership of a domain name, it reserves the right to sell this domain name or forward it to any website it chooses as long as the website it is forwarded to is not one that portrays the customer in a negative light. JD Micros will determine exactly what would portray a customer in a bad light.

Should JD Micros provide you with any of its managed web hosting packages, there is a possibility that you will exceed either the allocated web space or bandwidth on your package (you will be provided with these limits before confirmation of your package). Should this occur, wherever possible, JD Micros will inform you when you are nearing these limits and explain your options. If for any reason we are not able to contact you we will automatically increase your hosting package to the next available level to prevent any loss of service for you. When this happens, we will arrange this upgrade for the shortest possible time until we can discuss the situation with you (usually the end of that billing period). Should this not be an acceptable course of action for you, please inform us in advance, in writing by post (an email request will not suffice). It is your responsibility to ensure that this notification reaches JD Micros. Under no circumstances will JD Micros be accountable should a notification become lost in the post or sent to the wrong address. Our full contact details can be found on our contact page.

Should payment not be received for a managed web hosting package that has been automatically renewed, JD micros reserves the right transfer the ownership of that package to JD Micros. Should JD Micros take ownership of a hosting package, it reserves the right to sell this package or forward its associated website (and any associated domains) to any website it chooses as long as the website it is forwarded to is not one that portrays the customer in a negative light. JD Micros will determine exactly what would portray a customer in a bad light.

Unless otherwise agreed beforehand, JD Micros registers domains and web hosting with Krystal Hosting for web hosting. Whether JD Micros is merely registering the domain name or it is providing a fully managed package, it is your responsibility to ensure that you abide by the terms and conditions of Krystal Hosting (or any other company used at your request) at all times. Full details of the terms and conditions can be found at: https://krystal.co.uk/terms.
